About

Dustin Burkett AKA “Panda”

Hello, I would like to take a moment to thank you for visiting my site! Now that you are here, lets get a bit more acquainted. I am a Tattoo artist based in Springfield Mo. My main focus of my craft is to bring meaning to every individuals tattoos by the balance of a deep understanding and love of the language of images and tattoos, and an equal emphasis of getting to know the clients goals and intention of getting the tattoo. In the age of technology, it is easy for someone to be misled and fall into a cheap trend or become overwhelmed with too many concepts when looking for inspiration for their tattoo online. For all the positives of the internet (if you are reading this, well, I don’t need to tell you about it) there are just as many negatives and pitfalls. That is what I am here to protect you from. A vessel to facilitate the perfect tattoo for you if you will. I am well versed in the history of tattoos and art across a wide variety of cultures and styles. With almost a decade of experience in the sacred craft of tattooing and almost double that in various mediums of art and peripheral studies that aid the creation of a tattoo, my clients can expect a unique to them, yet tried and true tattoo. I also have an extensive collection of hard copy reference material that I continue to expand to help provide exclusive reference content for my clients to aid their exploration for inspiration. The human experience has been paramount in tattooing transcendent of culture or time and I am honored to uphold that aspect of the craft. I look forward to having an in person consultation with you for your next tattoo!

I enjoy all aspects of tattooing and all histories, cultures, and philosophies it allows craftsmen like myself to explore- but one history and folklore that is partial to myself

Ah, yes! Forgive me! More about me personally you have inquired? Hmmmm… let me think. Well, to start. I am a proud father of a little girl and a happy husband to an amazing wife. I know, I know… these are things oft said and can ring hallow as if a cliche- but honestly, my family is the biggest part of my live. My wife is a talented and hard working artist herself in the vein of Pottery. Her drive towards perfection and work ethic she shows is a constant inspiration to me and has for sure influenced the way I conduct myself in my craft. My daugher is well on her way to take over the world by excelling at every endeavor she pursues weather it be dabbling in what her parents do, or exploring her own interests like gymnastics and ballet. Together we build and support each other everyday and I am lucky to have such a life.

In my down time- hahahahahaha, i don’t have any downtime, but I have endeavors that aid my craft and in turn add to your tattoo experience so I can justify spending time on them. I enjoy reading about my craft, art, and the history of the Ozarks, as well as exploring the Ozarks!
